Armored RNA®
Armored RNA technology stabilizes and protects RNA transcripts from nuclease degradation
by packaging them in a protective protein coat. Armored RNA is stable and ribonuclease-resistant
in plasma and other matrices. Armored RNA is ideal for use as an exogenous sample
extraction controls because it can be added directly to negative human matrix without
the risk of degradation by nucleases in the sample. Armored RNA is compatible with
any RNA-based assay.

Armored RNA®Quant™
To quantitatively control for potential failures of sample preparation and assay
performance Armored RNA Quant controls were developed. Recombinant coat proteins
of E. coli bacteriophage are used to package target-specific RNA transcripts in
vitro, resulting in highly pure and well-characterized Armored particles.
The packaged copy number is precisely quantified using a NIST-traceable reference
standard.

Armored DNA Quant™
Armored DNA technology is based on the well established Armored RNA®Quant™
technology. Highly purified DNA fragments are packaged in vitro and quantified
using a NIST-traceable reference standard. Armored DNA Quant™ is currently
being developed and validated as exogenous process controls for quantitative DNA-based
molecular assays.
